Janice L. Taylor, Ed.D.
Assistant Professor

Dr. Taylor's research centers on women's educational leadership, resilience, and leadership formation, with particular attention to how identity, lived experiences, and relational and transformative practices shape leadership development and enactment. Her scholarship encompasses three interconnected strands: (1) women's leadership and transformative praxis, (2) resilience and well-being among educational leaders, and (3) K–12 instructional leadership formation.
Drawing on qualitative inquiry, conceptual scholarship, and extensive professional experience, her research increasingly examines leadership formation as an intentional developmental process through which aspiring and practicing educational leaders cultivate professional judgment, relational capacities, ethical commitments, and reflective practices. Through this work, she seeks to advance human-centered approaches to educational leadership theory, preparation, and development that support thriving school communities and meaningful organizational transformation.
