Student of the Month
Each month during the academic year (September-May), the history department honors one undergraduate history major or minor as the Student of the Month. All previous winners are eligible for the department's Student of the Year award.

May 2026
Senior Aaron Cloud graduated from Nederland High School in 2022. His capstone research paper is titled,"The Lynching of Italians on the Gulf Coast, 1891-1910." Aaron has appeared on the Dean's List and President's List numerous times. In addition to his academic achievements, he has also served as president of 7M视频's Helping Hands Club, leading volunteer efforts to feed the unhoused community of Beaumont.
