Within the Frame
Within The Frame is a series of ten photographs inspired by films that have shaped how I see and understand the world. Cinema influences us in subtle ways, shaping how we interpret experiences, identity, and human connection. This series translates cinematic ideas into still images, focusing on moments that feel familiar yet unresolved. Each photograph suggests a larger narrative without fully revealing it, inviting interpretation and imagination. Removed from their original context, these scenes become timeless, capable of belonging to multiple stories. The scale and format of each print further reinforce the tone or essence of its source, extending meaning beyond the image itself. Rather than offering fixed interpretations, the work encourages curiosity and reflection. Viewers are invited to bring their own memories and emotions into each piece, allowing meaning to shift and evolve. Film not only entertains but shapes culture and preserves stories.
