Dancing Through Life

Dancing Through Life explores dance as both a positive personal outlet and a source of community. While often perceived as physically demanding, this work highlights the emotional expression, discipline, and connection found within the art form. Drawing from my experience as a dancer since 2005, I translate years of observing movement, posture, and form into painting. My practice combines dance and visual art, using an understanding of the body’s lines and motion to capture the energy and feeling of performance. This series depicts young men and women in a dance class setting, emphasizing the human form in motion. Through these works, I aim to present dance as a meaningful balance of physical rigor, artistic expression, and community which is an experience that resonates across all ages.
