Celestial Primate
Celestial Primate is a series of eight digital illustrations that tell a mythological narrative through visual storytelling. Centered on celestial entities and the world they inhabit, the project uses character design and graphic design principles as primary narrative tools rather than decoration. The story follows powerful guardians tasked with protecting the planet from a demon king, conveyed through intentional use of hierarchy, color theory, silhouette, typography, and layout. These elements structure the narrative, embedding meaning directly into each composition for immediate visual clarity and depth. The series includes character sheets, environment designs, a world map, and a final poster, forming a cohesive visual system. Ultimately, Celestial Primate demonstrates how graphic design principles can function as storytelling frameworks, uniting clarity with conceptual depth.
