III. Updates from the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs Administration (ORSPA)

1. Ryan Lee – Director of Research Compliance
   • New member welcome
     • IRB members welcomed new committee members Dr. Isaac Aklamanu and Dr. Melissa Baldo. Each member introduced themselves by name and academic discipline.
   • New IRB Chair – Dr. Shannon Jordan
     • Dr. Jordan previously served as Vice Chair and moved to Chair upon previous chair Dr. Alan Moore departing the committee.
   • New Electronic Research Administrator – Raylynn Roche
     • Raylynn Roche introduced herself as handing electronic research administration, including research platforms such as CITI and Cayuse.

IV. Selection of IRB Vice Chair

1. Lilian Felipe volunteers to serve as IRB Vice Chair
2. Motion seconded by Dr. Clayton Jeffryes
3. Motion passes by a vote of 7-0

V. Updates from the Chair 

1. Reminder of required CITI training
   • All board members should review their CITI training to ensure it is up to date; ORSPA will also review records and notify members.

   • The full slate of 2025 meeting dates has not yet been established.
