University Professor of History at LU and prize-winning author Jeff Forret will talk about his new book "The Price They Paid: Slavery, Shipwrecks, and Reparations before the Civil War" (New Press) at the Tyrrell Historical Library (695 Pearl Street in Beaumont). The Office of Undegraduate Research invites undergraduate students from all academic areas to submit proposals to the SURF program. You can enjoy a 10-week research experience, and receive a $2,700 stipend, $1,400 in research support, $500 in travel support, and free housing in our Cardinal Village during the summer.
